Bridgeport

Bridgeport

Bridgeport is a historic seaport city in Connecticut. At the mouth of the Pequonnock River on Longer Island Sound, 60 miles from Manhattan and 40 miles from the Bronx. Bordering towns include Trumbull, Fairfield, & Stratford.

Bridgeport is home to the minor league baseball team, the Bridgeport Bluefish, as well as to the Arena at Harbor Yard which hosts major concerts, tours and conventions. You can board the Amtrak with service to Boston and Washington DC or a ride into NYC via the Metro-North commuter rail.  Bridgeport is located along Interstate 95 and the Route 8/25 connectors. For a more scenic route, the Merritt Parkway which ultimately becomes the Hutchinson Parkways, can be taken to NYC. The Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Ferry boat service can be boarded by foot or car for a picturesque journey across the Long Island sound.
